MUST WATCH NETFLIX

I don't know about you guys but I love staying at home during the winter and watching a great TV show or a really good movie.  I honestly have no idea what I would do without my hulu or Netflix, more so Netflix. I'm not feeling this hulu plus at all. What's up with the commercials? I rather use the free online version. Some really good shows I recommend watching on Netflix  is listed below.

NYX Butter Gloss

I've been on a beauty product binge lately. I just purchased a couple of products from Ulta that I've been dying to try. Included in that haul were 3 of the NYX butter glosses. These gloss were $5 each ,and they were also buy one get one half off. I only purchased three, even though now I wish I brought more. This glosses have a nice buttercream like scent to them, When you apply these glosses they go on so smooth it feels like butter. I definitely know how this product got its name. 

Not only are these glosses moisturizing they also have a very nice color payoff. The Apple Strudel is like a baby pink. I love this one for work or just everyday wear. The Cherry Pie one is a cherry red gloss. I love this one for date night or when I want a more sophisticated look. The Cherry Cheesecake one has more of an orange tint to it . I like to wear this one when I just want more of a fun look.

Bath & Body Works Candles

Black Friday was my first time ever buying B&BW candles. I was a bit skeptical at first. One candle is regularly priced at $20.00. Honestly, that seems like way too much for just one damn candle. Luckily I purchased during their Black Friday sale. One of their featured candles as a black Friday special was the Mint Buttercream candle which was only $10 for a 3 wick 14.5 oz which is an amazing deal.

I did purchase everything online so I was a bit scared that my products maybe damaged or broken by the time they arrive.  My package actually showed up in perfect condition.  I like the fact that they put fragile on the packages containing breakable items. I received a package that I ordered that only included lotions and bath gels in plastic containers that didn't have the same fragile logo. So i really appreciated it. They also securely packaged my candles to keep them from breaking, which is pictured below.

I really like this candle, it reminds me of a cozy winter day. The kind of day where you lounge around all day wearing pj's, and  reading a good book while sipping hot cocoa. Yea, that kind of day. It's described as smelling like vanilla, with coconut, and a hint of mint. I don't smell mint at all, but I think that's what gives it that winter freshness; its kind of like the smell of fresh snow.

Would I repurchase: Yes. Definitely yes.

Not bad , but not my favorite. This candle is supposed to smell like buttercream with a hint of caramel and mint .Which it actually does smell like. The mint isn't strong or overpowering at all. I also don't smell the caramel l.  I do like how this candle makes my house smell like a bakery, but other than that I wasn't too impressed with this one.

Would I repurchase: Maybe. Probably If on sale

I absolutely love this candle! It's my favorite out of all three that I brought. This candle is a mix of champagne , nectarine, and black currant. This is part of their Celebration line of candles. It does smell fabulous; it reminds me of a fancy party. This is my favorite candle so far from B&BW

PRODUCT LOVE ♥ Remington 1inch Flat Iron

This flat iron is amazing! I purchased this little beauty from Walmart.com (also where I got the first photo).  This 1 inch anti- static digital flat iron was only $14.99. I was skeptical about purchasing this item at first because of the low price. I didn't want to buy something that wasn't going to last long or perform like  it claimed too.  After doing some online research I decide to go ahead and buy it because of all the rave reviews it had gotten. 

I'm not disappointed at all. This flat iron gets my hair so straight and smooth, that I feel like it's much easier to stretch my relaxers now. The 1 inch plate is great for straightening my natural roots of my transitioning hair. I haven't relaxed my hair in months. I love my transitioning hair but whenever I want to wear it straight , its a bitch getting my roots ( new grow) straight enough to lay down.  I was just about to give in and relax my hair but, I decided to give this flat iron a try. I'm so glad I did. This product is definitely worth checking out.

Small Haul/ Walmart

I purchased everything in this haul with my own money' I love Walmart well, at least Walmart.com. the stores are always way too crowded and most of the associates are rude (not all of them). Their merchandisr is all over the place; its a total mess.

I purchased a new tablet, single serve serve blender, flat iron, and a Marilyn Monroe tee.

I purchased the 7in. RCA tablet for about $70 dollars ...maybe $65

Aliexpress ModernShow.com hair

I've recently ordered some hair from aliexpress. The vendor I ordered from was modernhairshow. I chose this vendor in particular because they had a lot of good reviews and very affordable prices. I purchased four bundles of hair for $116.38, shipping was free.They were  12, 14.16,  and 18 inch bundles. The hair was incredibly soft and there was no weird or chemical like smell. I'll post a video on thoughts after installation.

CVS Bargains/ Sale Finds

Today after work I stopped by my local CVS. It's a Saturday I got off early and I'm not going to lie, I stopped in to pick up some alcoholic beverages lol. But Anywho.... I love buying makeup now and I knew I had a $3.00 off coupon an also a 20% off one so, I decided to take a walk down the makeup aisle to see what they had and if there was anything new I wanted to try.  To my surprise the first item I spot was a Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder  for 50% off. Thank You JESUS. I'm just a little excited because I heard this product was a Dupe for a MAC pressed powder and every since then I wanted to try it. I just didn't want to purchase it for full price when I have two other pressed powders I haven't even finished yet. But , yes we will see how well this powder holds up. The other item that happened to come across was the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation. This Product was 75% off. Now, I said to myself if these products are on clearance or sale then, maybe there is something wrong with them. But I notice that with the foundation along with the powder there was only one shade , which was the ones that I chose that were on clearance. So maybe not a lot of women of color shop at that CVS for their makeup  but I DO ! Lol. Yeah, so I was excited as hell that I came across these clearance items especially in the shades that I needed. BEGINNERS GUIDE: Starting an healthy/diet lifestyle

Lately, I've been more concerned with my health. I think it's the fact that I realize that I'm getting older and honestly I'm just plain unhealthy. As far as what I eat and being active. One thing I want to stress to the people reading this is changing habits or trying to be more healthy takes time. If you want to lose weight, be more active, or just want a healthier lifestyle...ease your way into it. There is no need to rush. Don't decide you want to lose weight Sunday so you go to the gym Monday and overdue it. If you have been eating McDonalds cheeseburgers for 20 years , saying you're going to be a vegan tomorrow is going to be almost impossible. Its ok to take things one day at a time. I still eat cookies just healthier ones. I tried cutting soda out of my diet and tried 100% juice juices. Be careful lots of juices are from concentrates and have tons of sugar.

Healthy Eating

It's been awhile, but I'm back. I'm trying to be healthier now. I wanna get rid of this gut. Today I stopped by my local grocery store and picked up a few items, I actually tried to opt for the healthier versions. I also planned out my meals for the week which may alter due to my work schedule and the fact that I work at a restaurant ( meaning I might eat dinner or lunch at home or work.. It really depends). I'm not a breakfast person which is horrible since breakfast is of course the most important meal of the day. I decide to try out the Special K chocolate and strawberry cereal and some fruit for on the go in the morning. I'm planning on making another trip for more fruit, chicken breast, and some green bottled smoothies. I tried one for the first time in this haul and it was AMAZING! I cannot believe I haven't been drinking these things. It has like 3 or 4 servings of veggies and fruit. It will definitely be a staple item.

Bad Girls Club

I'm starting to just say fuck the whole show. Why am I entertaining or encouraging a bunch of grown ass women to make asses of themselves. Some of these girls I look at and hope I do not act like them when i reach their age. It's a fuckin disgrace but, entertaining at the same damn time . I'm not even sure what to make of this fuckery. I do believe I need to at least finish what I started and review the reunion part 2 & 3 strictly only for my blog though.

BAD GIRLS CLUB SEASON 10 PART 1

You can't even really call the first part a reunion since the reunion didn't start until like 50 minutes into the show. Lets keep it real Oxygen and call it what it really was...a hype up for nothing. The actual reunion starts off with Valentina getting her boney ass kicked not once but twice.

Shannon surprises everyone by coming out and attacking Valentina then Rocky got her turn. I actually respect the fact that they didn't jump Valentina after she consistently jumped other girls on the show. The bitch caught individual ass whoopins. Then Valentina wants to go sit back stage and whine and cry like a little bitch because she got what she deserved. Did she not see what happened to Julie last year. You talk that shit , you better back it up. Besides wasn't Valentina the one that said if you get jumped then you deserve to be jumped. Well she deserved that ass whoopin. Talking about she too pretty for this shit , well obviously NOT! Bye Bitch.

BLACK HAIR GROWTH...5 STEPS TO GET YOU ON YOUR WAY

1st off girl throw out that grease!
Hair grease is mostly made of petroleum jelly which can clog the pores on the scalp, stopping hair growth.

2.  Girl get you some oils instead. The BSS ( beauty supply store) usually has tubes of a variety of oils for .99 cents. Natural oils have properties that enhances your hair strength and beauty. Some examples are: Castor Oil, which is very popular among African American women. Some benefits are it thickens hair, grow it, and helps hair attract moisture. Coconut Oil is another one. It adds shine, controls dandruff, and prevents split ends.

3. Don't forget to moisturize. When your hair is dry its easier to have some breakage. Moisturizing and sealing your hair  makes hair softer and more manageable in general.

4. ALWAYS TIE YOUR  HAIR UP AT NIGHT. Not tying your hair up can cause breakage and tangles. If you don't like tying your hair up then invest in some satin pillowcases.

5. Try not to use a lot of heat. It causes breakage  especially when too much is applied and incorrectly applied.

Mini-Haul Time!

I'm sure you all know by now that I am a product junkie. I can't wait to tell you about some of the new products I picked up from my local CVS.

1. A CVS Precision Blender all bull aside it's the generic version of a beauty blender. I love this thing already even though, it does tend to suck up some of the foundation or whatever it is you're trying to blend. But, I pretty much believe you will run into that problem with any sponge applicator. I have not tried the actual beauty blender. So I can't tell you which one works better but, I can tell you that because of the narrow or pointed tip you can get under the eye or in narrow spaces well.

2. Revlon Brow Fantasy I first saw this product in an eyebrow tutorial Youtube video. I like the fact that its a pencil and gel combo in 1 stick. The gel is more like a mascara for the brows. Lately this has been my everyday brow kit.

3. Albolene this is a makeup remover but, it can also be used along with a waist trimmer to help loses inches off the waist. You're suppose to take this product smear it all over your belly then put on your waist trimmer.  I've just started using this so I don't have a drastic before and after but I will update you.

4.Physicians Formula BB Cream Unlike most people I actually like this product. I think its a great product when applied correctly and used with a setting powder.I'll do a demo soon. This product comes in only 2 shades. i purchased the medium/deep.

Welcome to the A! Land of pimp, hoes, and tons of drama. I first want to start this post off with Stevie and his women. So, Mimi is back in the house in order to keep Joselyn or however you spell her name (she's a non factor) out of the house. Does anyone else smell bullshit because I definitely do. Even her girls K. Michelle and Ericka caught on to this little game. Just admit it girl, You wanted to be back up under Stevie ass. He must be the bomb in the bedroom the way these women acting. Now, on to Scrappy, Ericka, Mama D. & Shay. At this point I just feel sorry for Shay but at the same time I think she only around to stay relevant, even though she isn't. Ericka and Scrappy are engaged, I don't believe she forced him to do it , so it was a decision he made. Get over it! It was pretty evident from the reunion who he wanted to be with. I think mama d stepped her ass out of line by telling Shay to show up at the studio and try to talk to Scrappy about them. That was completely disrespectful to Ericka. That's all I got for now. Nothing else is really worth mentioning. I'm thinking about stop watching this show. I personally have a problem with the way black people are portrayed but this is our reality.

Product Love ♥: Ecostyler Olive Oil Gel

This is a miracle product. It's great for natural & relaxed girls. Especially if you're transitioning. This product will lay that new growth down. I'm stretching my relaxer for about 4 months now and I have a lot of new growth. Thanks to this product and my regimen my hair has been very manageable. If you don't own an Eco styler gel I suggest you get one. They have many different types with different add ins. For example this is their olive oil one. They have another with Argan oil I believe and many more. They also come in different degrees of how strong the hold is.

First off, I just want to make it clear I AM NOT  a fan of Alicias. She's tacky and an attention seeker. I really dislike her because of the fact she likes to jump other girls while they're in the process of already being attacked by another girl (usually her minion Valentina...who I believe is a low key lesbian )

Bleaching Hair Blonde Like Crazy

So this summer I decided I wanted a new look. I've had red hair before and half black & blonde hair. I've always wanted to try out a lighter color so, I decided to go blonde. I bleached my curly about 2 months ago. Today I decided to bleach my Brazilian wavy. I'm so excited and can't wait to install tonight. I'll  attach pics of the developer and bleach used.

Healthy Relaxed Hair Regimen Update

In addition to the products I previously said I was using, I'm now trying new products. When I first started my hair journey it was after I had just relaxed my hair. Now I'm about 3 months post relaxed so I've been using different products than before to help stretch my relaxer and mainatn my new growth. I was surprised to find this product because I never knew Vaseline made a spray & go non greasy moisturizer which is heaven sent for warm weather. I've never been a fan of Vaseline because of how thick and greasy it is. I really love this product.

I never have used sweetener in the past but lately I've been on this health kick. I def see some usage of this product in my future.

I've never used Witch Hazel in the past but it does have some great benefits for skin. I really dislike the smell of this product though. If they come out with a new scented kind. WE HAVE A WINNER.

Goody Quikstyle

I recently received the Goody Quikstyle Paddle brush complimentary of Influenster.com for testing and reviewing purposes. I received it in their HolidayVoxBox2012 I was skeptical about this brush and well it would work with African American hair or thick hair in general. This brush is suppose to help dry hair  30% more than the usual just towel dry.Let's face it, 30% isn't alot but, It did help dry my hair faster but it works even more wonderful when a blow dryer is used with this product.

Olive Oil Edge Control

I have to say I'm quite smitten with this product. I just purchased this yesterday from my local beauty supply store, and I couldn't wait to use it.I tried it as soon as I got home. It's a clear thick pomeade or gel ( the feel) and it goes on clear.It laid my edges! This is a good product for relaxed and nature hair. I'm currently in between relaxers and this helps a lot.

My Healthy Relaxed Hair Regimen

Since i started dyeing my hair, I've noticed my hair has been suffering tremendously. So, I basically decided that the only way I can get my length and luscious locks back was to go back to the basics. This means taking care of my hair the way my mother did. For example, keeping my hair well moisturized, in protective styles, minimum heat, and always covering my hair when sleeping. This is the regimen i adopted along with these basic rules.

Deep Condition- I use a mixture of conditioners (hollywood beauty cholesterol as a base, Elasta QP fortifying conditioner, VO5 moisture milks conditioner,honey, argan oil, castor oil, and jojoba oil) Let sit for a 1.5-2 hours.
Co-Wash- Aussie 3min miracle &,honey
Apply Elasta QP H2O moisturize sealant
Homemade leave in
Apply Leave-In- garnier sleek &shine leave in conditioner creme
Jojoba Oil

Monday & Wedneday
CoWash- Aussie 3min miracle,VO5 moisture milks & honey

NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine

 I received this lip shine and my initial thoughts were that this product was just another typical lip gloss. I received this product in nude and I was in love with it the second I put it on. Most lip glosses are really sticky and shiny. This product had a great shine and a little sticky. Overall, this is now my go to gloss. I wear this product every day and can't wait to try the other colors.

KISS Nail Dress

I was skeptical initially. I thought it was no way that these things are supposed to fit any nail size and I know putting them on is probably going to be a hassle. I have to admit that I was wrong AGAIN. This was the quickest and cheapest manicure I ever had! These are perfect for when you are in a rush before a date or interview and you want manicured hands. You  can easily apply these on the go or while watching a movie. These are a great idea for slumber parties or kids who want grown up nail designs.

Montagne Jeunesse Face Masque

Well first let me just say I have never really been a spa or facial kinda girl. I never really had bad or problem skin. So initially I didn't think a facial or masque would have anything to offer me. I was completely wrong. This mask made my skin even smoother and gave my complexion a wonderful glow. I tested the raspberry fruit smoothie masque and I will be trying others in the future.
